Modern LED models of lights, produced by our factory, are created taking into account the experience of classic, time-tested, models of lamp devices
with deep processing and improvement of their characteristics.
This resulted in use of higher quality optics, thoughtful functional design, energy-saving, low-cost, safe-operating light sources and new control systems.
LED technologies are only beginning to be implemented in the aircraft engineering, however these lights are already recognized as a new generation product
boasting undeniable advantages over traditional filament lamps. This technology is being continuously improved and becomes easier available.
It's not a surprise that we have used this know-how in our new strategic line of lighting equipment.
About 500 objects throughout Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan use our equipment.
State-of-the-art technologies.
The luminous efficiency of high-brightness LEDs can be as high as 60-120 lumen/watt, while that of filament lamps is 10-24 lumen/watt (including halogen lamps),
i.e. the LEDs are characterized by 5-10 times higher energy efficiency.
Filament lamps have 50 times lower and even shorter life spans as compared to LEDs. The light-emitting diodes feature 50,000 hours service life,
while the filament lamps can operate for 1,000 hours only.
LEDs are installed already of the needed color in contrast to a traditional lamp which requires a light filter allowing only specified color to pass through it
and absorbing the rest visible spectrum. This gives a huge performance advantage for the color LEDs as compared to the “white filament lamp + filter” system.
When color LEDs are used together with light filters (if required) the brightness loss on the filter is much lower, than when using white filament lamps.
Energy efficiency.
This means not only drastically lower electricity costs. It reduces the load of power circuits. Lower values of draw current allow the use of lower cross-sections
of power cables and reduction of losses in these cables over large distances, as well as the arrangement of considerably cheaper backup power supply which is important
for the landing grounds and helipads.
Light-emitting diodes are current-operated devices that allow easy implementation of electric circuits across large distances providing absolutely equal brightness
of all LEDs with short-distance circuits, since current regulators ensure equal current in circuits with different voltages. A 400 m long circuit and 20 m long circuit
each comprising different number of lights will flash equally bright which facilitates the process of LEDs systems engineering.
Electrical safety.
LEDs require low voltage and low current. A light string of 20 or 100 lamps can be built using any commercial DC voltage source under 48 V ensuring
safe operation and requiring no certification. The commercial voltage regulators feeding power to the current regulators are characterized by tremendously
high efficiency and capable of operation in the power lines with a wide input voltage range of 100 – 360 V without loss of the light quality.
LEDs prices are being continuously reduced thus removing the expensiveness of the LED technology as its general downside.
Extensive control capabilities.
Until recently, in Russia there has been no practice of lighting systems control from the aircraft. Earlier, in the absence of a dispatcher or a flight manager,
the airfield simply was closed to arrival and departure aircraft. Now aircraft can freely land or take-off from the landing ground with no personnel available on the ground.
The supplied version of the control system for lighting equipment, specification L-854, using an on-board aviation radio station,
allows you to control the operating modes of lighting equipment from any aircraft without additional devices.
Due to the use of light brightness sensors the lighting systems can be operated in fully automatic mode.
The new generation of heliport remote control systems allows control it from anywhere in the world from any smartphone, even a child ... if he has access.
Light filters and LED colors are compliant with ICAO Annex 14 Volume I.
The range of colors of the light filters and LEDs meets all the needs. Colors of the light filters and LEDs comply with
requirements of ICAO Annex 14 Volume I.
We manufacture both omnidirectional light filters and the entire range of semi-directional light filters and opaque caps.
Packing.
All lighting products are packed in individual cardboard packages with the operation manual inside.
The rigid individual packing will protect your lighting equipment during transportation, while the operation manual will serve as a guide to install and use the lights properly.
Every dozen of the lighting items is packed into one common package which facilitates the transportation and provides extra protection and easy storage.
Research and technologies.
We use the state-of-the-art goniomener by Viso Systems for our optical research & developments work as well as for the on-site laboratory control of products quality.
